Hi! My name is Ariel. I’m from Taiwan, I am an intern in NexSeed. It’s been one month since I arrived here in Cebu and I’m going to share some learning experience of Laura about her experience in learning English, because she have improved a lot. That’s the reason I want to interview her. I’m glad to see her progress.
Hi Laura, time went so fast. Now, it’s your second month to learn English here in Cebu. You have many different kinds of subject, which one is your favorite?
I learned a lot of conversation with the book open mind, like shopping, traveling, booking the hotel, taking a taxi and so on. In addition, I can communicate with Japanese students now. From the start, I can only use few words, but now I can talk some funny things with them. The purpose to learn a language is to communicate. Apparently, I get progress because of this book which helps me a lot.
You just finished your presentation last week, thank you for inviting me to your presentation, you are doing very great! Could you share about how you prepare this presentation and how did you felt after that?
I did a lot of time practicing. Everyday, I practiced the content for two weeks before the presentation date. And I ask my teachers for suggestions. I’m worried that students might not understand my pronunciation or the way I express my English. But, luckily, teachers understood what I said, all I did was to read the content frequently.
But it was a big challenge for me at first. I remember I cannot speak even one sentence before, but now I can read an article and introduce myself through English. Though I don’t like presentation, I got achievement after I did it.
