出征到NS沖繩分校 - 與老師 Khrish 的小訪談－NexSeed 菲律賓宿霧語言學校

對於海外留學有興趣的人來說，多少都憧憬人生能有到國外留學、工作這樣的寶貴經驗。

NexSeed的理念志在作為 「LIFT SHIFT PLATFORN 一個轉變人生的平台」 ，盡可能地為更多人提供活躍世界舞台的機會。當然這樣的宗旨不僅僅放在學生身上而已，在NexSeed不管老師、員工或學生，我們都希望大家追求更好的自己。

NexSeed除了宿霧本校外，在沖繩也設立了專門提供社會人士的進修分校。所以，菲籍老師們也都會極力爭取前往派駐沖繩、自我挑戰的機會。

今天就來分享一個月前派駐到沖繩的老師Khrish，小編在她「出征」前的面訪內容。

1. How do you feel about going to Japan, Okinawa?
To be honest, I have mixed emotions right now. I am very happy because not everyone is given this once in a lifetime opportunity and the thought that they have chosen me to go there is really unbelievable. I am also very excited because I will be able to witness and observe Japanese culture which is very interesting for me. On the other hand I'm also nervous for I know I will do many tasks there and working away from home is not that easy. This is really a big challenge for me but I just need to believe that I can do it and knowing that everyone here are supporting and praing for me that makes me feel better. So, hopefully I'll be able to do my best in Japan.

1. 對於即將到日本沖繩工作，有什麼想法呢？

誠實的說，我的現在的感覺非常複雜。我非常高興，因為並不是每個人在人生中都能有這樣的機會，學校選擇派我到沖繩，是令人不能置信的感覺。我當然也很興奮因為能有機會體驗、觀察我有興趣的日本文化。但另一方面，我也感到緊張，對於即將面臨的新挑戰和在離家鄉很遠的地方工作是不容易的。這真的對我來說是巨大的挑戰，但我必須相信我自己可以做到。我也知道很多人在背後支持我、為我祈禱，這些都些許讓我感到安心。所以，希望在日本期間我可以做到最好。

2. What kind of task will you do in Japan?
In the Philippines I just only teach one on one class, but in Japan I will do more challenging tasks. I will teach group class, facililtate the examinations for students and evaluate their levels as well. Everyday is a hectic schedule for me. so, I really need to manage my time. I just hope and pray that I'll be able to do all these tasks smoothly.

2.到日本後會有什麼樣的任務（新挑戰）呢？

在菲律賓宿霧時，我只有教過一對一的英語課，但到日本以後將會嘗試很多新挑戰。會開始嘗試進行團體課教學、對學生進行測試來確認他們的英文程度。每天都是忙碌的行程，所以我非常需要好好管理我的時間。我只希望和祈禱一切任務都可以進行得很順利。

　3. How do you make your class interesting?

I must say it's not easy to keep your class interesting all of the time since students learning style and personality varies. So, what I do is I try to adjust my teaching style to their needs and personality but I also see to it that I challenge them. I want them to be out of their comfort zone and I hope that they would take the challenge because it means that they are willing to help themselves in learning the language.

3.你怎麼讓英文課變得有趣的呢？

我必須說，要一直保持有趣的課程是不容易的，因為學生的學習方式和個性是很多樣化。所以我一直調整自己的教學風格以適合學生們的需求及個性，但仍然給他們不同的挑戰。我希望他們離開舒適圈去接受挑戰，因為這意味著未來他們能幫助自己繼續學習英文。

4. Do you still study English even you’re a teacher already?

Yes, I do. I think it's really important for everyone to keep learning and to widen our knowledge from time to time since we enpart our knowledge to our students.

We should not be complacent of what we have right now. Keep learning！

4.你是否有繼進精進自己的英文呢？即使你是一位英文老師？

當然，既然我們要將知識帶給學生，對每個人來說持續學習及不時地擴大我們的

知識範圍是很重要的。我們不應該就此滿於我們現在所擁有的，所以要繼續保持學習！

5. Please share some inspiring words for yourself or students.
You can do it. Just believe in yourself. I really think that believing in yourself and not holding back to the thing that you want to do in your life will make a big difference.
It's the same as learning a language. At first it maybe impossible to speak English fluently but if you believe in yourself and put hard work on it then nothing is impossible.
Get rid of fear that's been hiding in you. As long as you know you did your best then that's okey. If you don't believe in your abilities who will do it for you. Believe it and you will achieve it！

5.請分享一些給自己和學生們勉勵的話。

你可以的，只需要相信自己。我真的認為，相信你自己並且對自己想做的事不退縮，能夠讓你的生活有很大的不同。這和學習英文一樣。或許第一次無法將英文講得很流暢，但只要相信自己並且努力就沒有什麼是不可能。擺脫掉隱藏在心裡的恐懼。和你所知道的一樣，盡力做到最好，那就可以了。如果你不相信自己的能力及潛力，那誰會幫助你呢？相信自己，你可以達成的。
